Adoration

To adore another or something else outside of ourselves is common. We find purpose in the love and affection we so freely give away. I am guilty of doing so as well. But what becomes of us if all we do is give?

How often do you find yourself depleted? So much so that your own health, mood and self care routines suffer and your needs become neglected. We must learn self-love and adoration for ourselves. We must learn self-compassion for our limits and flaws instead of seeking approval from others and to feel good enough.

Newsflash! You are enough. And if giving away your time, energy and adoration to another is not fulfilling and just draining, then a reassessment of your priorities is long over due. After all, we are teaching people constantly how we wish to be treated not by all we do for them, but rather how well we treat ourselves.
