Feasting

To feast is to over indulge. Although our minds may go to eating, feasting on food usually involves a gathering of many people. But how about all the other ways we indulge. Maybe it involves an unhealthy habit. Or it takes all of our time attention away from something more productive and meaningful.

My definition of an addiction is that which is done in secret; something you prioritize over everyone and everything. You believe (aka lie to yourself) that you can’t live without that thing, hence how you keep feeding the addiction. It doesn’t matter what the addiction is, if it is creating imbalance in your life it is unhealthy. When we place too much or all our focus on feasting we lose our ability to see clearly. Our judgement fails us. The simplicity of life is lost. All things in moderation is the best practice if we are to fully enjoy the feast that is life.

Feast responsibly my friends.
