Uselessness
Uselessness is not an insult. Take for instance the forest; full of trees and life. To a lumberjack who is only looking for the perfect wood to harvest leaves the imperfect trees alone and cuts down the rest. Hence the useless trees survive and get to live out their lifespan.
The trees are only useless from the perspective of a lumberjack needing the straight and strong wood. If we think of all the other uses for those trees left to live they are plenty useful. The birds and other animals depend on them for food, shelter and shade. The shade provided by the canopy of trees keeps the ground fertile and hydrated to nurture it’s roots and other surrounding plant-life.
Feeling useless is ones life is not a reason to give up or give in. On the contrary it is a chance to consider what we are exceptional at. What it is that makes us unique. Uselessness provides us with an opportunity cultivate our self-worth and express our individuality. So instead of feeling despair about being flawed by uselessness use it to motivate you towards self-improvement.
