Reflection

Be still. Undisturbed. Knowing there is no effort needed to do so . Returning to a natural state of calmness. Perhaps the only thing you need is solitude to achieve this. Funny how in the moments we find ourselves alone our first reaction is to do something to distract ourselves from ourselves.

Even muddy water becomes clear if left alone. “Be like water my friends”, as the great Bruce Lee said. If we allow a few moments each day to learn to be alone our reflections will become clear, instead of only consuming our views imposed upon us during our busyness.

Meditation is Ideal to achieve a state of stillness. Understanding that it may take time to learn a meditation practice is necessary, as is patience with yourself. Keep it simple. Just start. Allow the thoughts to flow like waves on the ocean. Water makes no effort to achieve a reflection same as meditation will come naturally to the body and mind.
